My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Global Links, Pittsburgh, PA, USA
I take a group of ESL students here to volunteer every year. They come from countries far and wide and are always, always, always impressed with the experience: the environment and staff at Global Links are very welcoming, the mission is superior, the work is meaningful, and the exposure our students get from this experience helps shape their perceptions about our country and its citizens' humanitarian efforts.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
their presence in the community here in Pittsburgh, but more importantly in the dvd presentation they show to new volunteers -- people all over the world get better medical care as a result of Global Links' efforts ... and landfills arent' as full.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
work harder to recruit regular volunteers out of the groups of volunteers that visit one time.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The welcoming environment they offer.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
super nice, helpful and easy going!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
help a lot more patients.
Ways to make it better...
I brought volunteers from my own organization with me.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
perhaps the costs of shipping overseas, and hospitals that refuse to participate by donated unneeded medical supplies.
One thing I'd also say is that...
They brew great coffee at Global Links and share it with volunteers -- in ceramic mugs! No styrofoam or papercups where to be found. That's green.
