Review for Petaluma Educational Fdn, Petaluma, CA, USA
PEF is overwhelmingly supported by our community. With cutbacks in education severely impacting the teachers and students, PEF has been instrumental in providing funds for a myriad of programs. What is incredible is how each year, the community steps up to support us even more than the year before. They have definitely seen the results in their kids' schools. PEF is a vital component of the educational experience in Petaluma and as a board member I am thrilled to be a small part of it.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Petaluma Educational Foundation (PEF) attracts terrific people that want to contribute to their community through education. We have a "can-do" board and their enthusiasm is spread throughout Petaluma. Our Sept BASH was successful beyond our expectations!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I can't think of anything I would change. I would just continue to encourage our supporters to keep getting the word out...through Facebook, Twitter, print media, blogs, you name it. We are here to help and need your support.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Seeing what a huge impact we can make in the educational experience of all our local schools.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
People from all walks of life each bringing their own unique experiences to the group.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Create endowment and fund a myriad of Major Impact Grants.
Ways to make it better...
If I had more time to devote to PEF. Every board member wishes they had more time, but we are working, raising children, running businesses, etc.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
I imagine most non-profits would say that raising money is their biggest challenge, but with the success of our last event, we were bowled over!
One thing I'd also say is that...
To see the people of our community committed to funding educ programs is overwhelming. They know the financial state of our educational system and they are willing to make a difference every year.
