Review for HUMANE SOCIETY OF HURON VALLEY, Ann Arbor, MI, USA
The people here care deeply about the animals in their care.
I volunteer here and they are great. The other volunteers are caring individuals that have the best interests of the animals at heart.
In addition to taking care of the animals they have, they have a great veterinary clinic with good veterinarians on staff, offer low cost vaccinations for pets, provide pet food for those who can't afford it (Bountiful Bowls), an active Trap, Neuter, Release program and offer free animals under specific circumstances: barn cats are free, as are senior cats and dogs free to senior citizens. A first class organization. I love my humane society.
Oh, and I adopted my cat from here, too.

I volunteer here and I also got my cat here. Everyone is so caring for the animals and very friendly. I enjoy volunteering at their cat cafe because everyone who comes there is so joyful about getting to spend time with the cats. It's a great idea that pays off for the cats (they get to play with people) and for the potential adopters who can see how they might bond with a cat in a more realistic setting.
I also volunteer at the Vet Clinic at HSHV, doing administrative work and they are my vet for my cat. One of the primary things I do is to call people and remind them of upcoming appointments. Based on the conversations I have with them, they like bringing their animals there, too.
The staff I work with both at the cat cafe and the clinic are great caring people as well. I am really happy with what this organization does within the community to increase awareness of the pets available for adoption.
