As a parent of a teen volunteer, I cannot speak highly enough about the Ceres program. My 16 year old son has been working in the kitchen for the past 1 1/2 years and loves it! Ceres is a phenomenal place for teens to learn the value of teamwork. It empowers them to step into leadership roles; learn what constitutes a healthy balanced diet; and master the skills to prepare those meals for themselves. Best of all, Ceres teaches teens empathy and shows them how they can give back in a meaningful way to their community. My son's passion for Ceres has inspired his younger sister to start volunteering there this fall.
