Southern Heritage Air Foundation Museum is a hidden gem. Everyone who comes for a tour is surprised by what they find behind the doors. Veterans are honored here from Mississippi and Louisiana. One of the things we have gotten so much joy from was helping to celebrate the life of our Veteran Rufus Puckett. Rufus turned 101 in August. We have been blessed to help celebrate him for the last three years. Rufus is amazing he is sharp mentally, doesn’t wear glasses and still drives. If you would like to know his story please come visit us.
I am so proud to be apart of an organization who truly loves Veterans.

I am a Volunteer at SHAF. It has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done. The opportunity to share the stories, videos and pictures of these remarkable heroes is such an honor.
Our Warbirds are all available for a flight by appointment. We have people come for tours from all over the World. This year alone we have been honored to share our history with people from Australia, Canada, Germany, China, Thailand, Spain, England and more.

I am Volunteer at SHAF. The museum honors local and regional WWII Veterans. It is an honor to hear the stories of what these heroes endured for us to live in a free Country. Please come to visit us hear the stories these brave men have shared and enjoy viewing our planes. All of our planes are airworthy.

Southern Heritage Air Foundation is a hidden gem filled with World War II memorabilia. The planes are amazing and they offer plane rides. If you have time to stop by you will fine the staff fun, very educational and full of entertaining stories. While you are there be sure to check out the display about my Daddy. He was in an Amphibious tank division during the war. Do yourself and your family a favor by stepping back into history.

I have attended many functions at SHAF each and everyone was better than the one before. The planes are awesome. The museum is full of so much history. It is such a beautiful tribute to all of our Veterans. Patty Mekus, Dan Fordice, and all the volunteers truly show, love and respect for all of these great heros. If you have not had the opportunity to visit this wonderful museum make a date to do it I promise you will not be disappointed. I learn something new each time I go.
