Our family has attended every season of the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival beginning in its second year. (We still regret missing "The Tempest", the inaugural production.) Initially, our appreciation of the Festival came from the quality of the performance, as well as its attractive price point -- FREE! Over time, as we became more familiar with the mission of HASF and the incredible contribution it makes not only to the theatre-going public but also to education of young people in both Shakespeare and theatre arts, we became committed supporters. HASF is professionally and responsibly managed, utilizing its remarkably small staff to accomplish great work and education in Kansas City year-round. We are confident that every penny we contribute will be spent effectively, always in furtherance of HASF's mission. I am grateful to be a supporter, volunteer and avid consumer of the art HASF so generously provides to the KC community. It is a source of great pride to me to be a Board member.
