Review for BEAGLE FREEDOM PROJECT, Valley Village, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I first learned about Beagle Freedom Project (BFP) in 2016 when I saw them featured on the American Humane Hero Dog Awards® I knew right away this was a nonprofit I HAD to support. My husband and I applied to adopt and a few months later we were notified there was a 4 year old beagle available for adoption who had been rescued by BFP from a laboratory in the northeast. We adopted our beautiful beagle baby Asher in 2017 and it is truly one of the best decisions we've ever made. He is an amazing, soulful, wise and loving beagle. Before Asher was adopted he spent 6 months in foster care where BFP spent about $6,000 on top-notch, emergency vet. care and surgery for him. When he was released from the lab he had a horrible issue with his anus and needed surgery. Thankfully, due to that wonderful care by BFP, this painful condition is now just another painful part of his past. He spends his days surrounded by love, freedom, treats, cuddles and reassurance that he is "safe, free and nobody will ever hurt him again." BFP is now part of our family and we have just let them know we are open to fostering a lab. beagle as well. Our passion for this organization is steadfast - when it comes to rescuing, rehabbing and advocating for animals there is no group that does it better. It is an honor and privilege to be part of the BFP family.
