As an aviation magazine editor, I have visited countless museums and collections. This past fall I traveled south to visit the Southern Heritage Air Foundation for their air show and salute to veterans. It was one of the most enjoyable events I can remember! The hospitality of the staff is amazing and the quality of the event and museum is fabulous. The aircraft are gorgeous! I also noticed the prices in the gift shop were half what I see in other museums, which shows the museum is dedicated to their visitors, many of which are young families. I am looking forward to visiting again and I highly recommend it as a destination for anyone who loves WWII history.
