Review for Literacy Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA
After being trained by GPLC I worked first with a young woman who wanted to pass the math section of her GED. After a few months, she was successful. Since then I have been working with a man in his thirties who has learning disabilities as well as brain damage from a car accident ten years ago. Although it is slow going, we are making some progress and he is determined to improve. I can tell that he feels better about himself and his opportunities. GPLC has been very supportive and has always responded to any questions or concerns I have about working with my student. I think it is an excellent organization.
