I began volunteering with "sAIN" about 5 years ago, and one of my first assignments was to haul a mom and baby to the nearby vet office. Little did I know that fast forward a year and a half and this baby, Moon, would steal my heart. I went to work with her one day at her foster home, and fell head over heels in love with her, so I applied to adopt her.
Now I've had her 4 years and she has been a joy to train, partially due to her solid beginning with this program and their wonderful foster homes. She has a level headed personality (with just a bit of sass), she loves people and everyone that meets her thinks she is pretty special too.
I have also been serving on the board for the last 3 1/2 years, and even though there's been a lot of change and growth during this time, our main focus has always been on the well being of the animals. SAIN provides a much-needed role in providing a better life for the many animals that have been in their care.
