Review for The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Washington, DC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I was invited almost 6 years ago to be part of this society, I have my doubts and check what is about. I really like the activities so I joined, but the real journey through the NSCS began. I participated in the PACE program for my first two years, love what they do mentoring students talking about how to get to college when I have some much trouble trying to apply I feel part immediately with this cause. Then I have my first travel ever participating at ScholarCon. I meet so much people and the speakers have so much sense and to learn about. But I want more, so in my junior year I applied for a officer board position in my Chapter first was to be a VP of PACE program but the plans where different for the officer leaving. They nominated me for the Chapter President position I was afraid and really nervous but I accept. For three years I was a Chapter President learn a lot, help others to improve the leadership in their lives, to accept challenges. During my time we became platinum award recipients at my first year. Also received Merit Awards for our PACE program and connections and campus collaboration. We each year inducted almost over 200 members and have a increase the participation of members over +65%.

I love so much the experience I have at the NSCS and hope that others see the opportunities they bring to honor students to embrace their leadership at the profesional and personal level.
