Review for The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Washington, DC, USA
As a freshman at the University of North Florida, I worked really hard and excelled in my academics, but was looking for my place in the school's community - this is where I found The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (or I should say it found me). I was exremely proud that my achievements were paving opportunities for myself and excited to find a place at my school which I felt fit me as an individual. NSCS recognizes the leadership, responsibility, and honor of all of its members. As a member I was not only thrilled to receive the benefits this honor society has (like discounts for car insurance and much more), but also for the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals at my school. NSCS works with Active Minds, an organization dedicated to raising mental health awareness, which I think is really important for college students. After seeing the potential and reach NSCS could make on its members and the entire campus at UNF, I decided to run for the board. I got the position and am looking forward to an awesome year building The National Society of Collegiate Scholars at UNF up into something that is more well known and create real connections with the board and members.
