NSCS has changed my life in so many ways! I never thought I could be a leader of anything let alone the President of my local Chapter. That was only the beginning. I was able to honor my favorite professor as an honorary member, and later nominated him for the Inspire Integrity Award which he won!

NSCS recognizes that students are unique and their needs vary. I am a non-traditional student, and I have never felt out of place in NSCS. I was also a recipient of the NSCS Non-Traditional Scholar Award.

When the Pandemic broke out in 2020, NSCS activated their emergency fund for students. Other organizations went virtual and still wanted to charge a load of money to attend their virtual events. However NSCS went virtual and offered their conference free to all members.

I started with NSCS at my Community College but I am now at Smith College, and I believe my involvement in NSCS helped me get into Smith. I do not know where I would be without NSCS!

This is a great organization with a lot of scholarship opportunities. our chapter is going to be great this upcoming year and we are looking forward to pairing with active minds!
