Lady Freethinker does a great job of getting information about animal cruelty to the people who follow their posts. The information is direct, but not over the top gory. The petitions are well written and timely.

We love Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge. We live in Nebraska and travel to Arkansas to stay there once a year. The stories of the animals they save will break your heart, but when you see how these animals are allowed to live out the rest of their lives, your hope will be restored. This is not a zoo or a breeding facility. There is no petting. There is a lot of education. There are a lot of well cared for animals in large grassy habitats acting like wild animals should behave. There is a state of the art vet hospital. And if you want to enjoy lions caroling all night, there are several options for staying over. A wonderful place doing great work for animals.
