My child participated at a Walk on Water event. We travelled from Indiana to Southern California for this unique opportunity. Before this experience, I could never imagine my young child with autism surfing. Even after registering and watching AWOW videos, I wondered how they could possibly achieve that with my child. Upon arriving on event day, I was super impressed with the organization. I work at a non-profit that (in part) provides programming for children with disabilities, so my standards are sky high. That day is one my family will never forget.
