A tremendously dedicated group of volunteers is restoring an historic combat veteran Douglas C-53 to flight. This aircraft participated in Operation Torch and was later the official transport for the Governor of Ohio. It languished for decades at a rural Ohio airport until Jason Capra decided to invest his life savings into bringing her back to life.

"Beach City Baby" was brought to ferry-flight condition and flown to Washington PA, where she is enjoying a complete tear-down and rebuild to her 1943 configuration and paint scheme.
