After several years of attending and supporting the annual Here to Serve fundraiser with my wife, Pam, I accepted Katie Quintas' offer to join the Here to Serve Board in February of 2018. I had met Katie through a mutual friend and supporter and, after hearing about her own family's experiences, was immediately drawn to her vision of assisting families facing pediatric cancer challenges. Here to Serve is a wonderful grassroots non-profit that understands family-centered, non-medical support. Through its coordinated efforts, Here to Serve helps its families establish online communities of volunteers to provide non-medical support during their child's extended treatment periods. We focus on families who do not qualify for government assistance.

It has been a pleasure working with Katie and the entire Here to Serve team to fulfill on its mission of mitigating the economic impacts facing families with critically-ill children by mobilizing people and resources to meet the families' daily living requirements.
