I was blessed to become a donor a few years ago to Love Across the Ocean (LATO). I came to know Leyna Nguyen because of mutual friends in the LA TV news/weather business. A real close friend of hers, Denny Hooten, used to live in my area of the South Bay and then he met Leyna in her area of the SF Valley and the rest is history.. But, this review isn't just about meeting them. It's about their wonderful philanthropy, giving and caring of the whole LATO organization. I have witnessed their good deeds here and abroad many times, and I have participated in some really fun (and worthwhile) charity events like LATO Bowling and Karaoke. Through them, I am also grateful to sponsor a young boy and girl (so that they may attend school) in Vietnam.
