Growing up in a patriarchal society, and having witnessed and struggled with different violence, I made up my mind to work for women and youths early on in my life. Coming from a country with large young population, I have realized that there is unimaginable yet untapped potential in the fellow youths like me. And if there is anything that could solve problems that my country is meddling with be it related to women empowerment, poverty, education, environment, it is that limitless energy and willpower of the youths. I am aware of the urge of the youths to see transformation in the current cultural and social practices in our country. Therefore, from an early age I started devoting time on the intersection of women and youths. I was volunteering in different organization in Nepal but after I got introduced with Pathways to Volunteering(PTV) I got clear vision for Nepal with lots of hope.
It's been a more than 2 years I have been volunteering being global ambassador from Nepal in PTV which gives me great deal of satisfaction. In Nepal with support of Pathways to volunteering we have helped hundreds of marginalized kids by providing meal. Those kids are not going to school just because they do not have food to eat due to which they are distracted and not focus on their study but after food distribution research show that many kids who drop out the school got enroll back. Kids who were not having a pair of proper clothes with help of PTV we have distributed warm clothes. When we started PTV in Nepal I was only person but now I am proud that we have core team of volunteers who are very energetic. PTV has given platform to all young person in Nepal who have willingness to good for society.
Pathways to volunteering is not just platform for helping others but also realizing our inner happiness. Knowing our strength which gives us direction for amazing life changing experience. I am very happy and proud to be part of PTV and I have commit my whole life to this organization because it's working for a CAUSE.
