My son's story was difficult - He has severe ADHD and the behavioral issues that lie beneath the surface with that disability.
From all of the teachers, to the Head of the School (Mr B) to the Dean of Students (Mrs D), Vincent Smith School took him in and accepted his challenges without one complaint or push back. They made me feel (for the first time) that "they've got this".
They welcomed him and treated him with attention, patience and respect. He actually liked going to school in the morning - no more battling with that.
They gave him the services he needed (with dignity). They worked WITH his strengths and weaknesses and helped him master his 6th grade!
