I've been following Global Care Alliance (GCA) since the beginning. Of all the organizations that I support, I don't believe that any have a greater impact per dollar invested. The reason for that is because each project they undertake is carefully chosen. Their resources are expended only after they have vetted a local partner organization that will help to implement the project. For example, if a village in Burundi has a need, GCA does not just funnel money to them. GCA identifies a trustworthy local organization that will assist in implementing the project, whether that be building homes, hospitals or water systems; whether that is feeding or clothing the children. In any case, GCA always works with a local partner so that the aide achieves its purpose. GCA makes certain that its partners are accountable and that the project is sustainable, measurable and has long term benefit. Their overhead is extremely low and their impact is extremely high.
