I originally got started with PTV for my own personal selfish reasons of needing a distraction from my own problems. My first encounter with PTV was at Midnight Mission and at first I honestly didn't see the value of volunteering but what attracted me was the community it brought together. I saw it immediately as a way to have a more social interaction and it did solve my problem of needing a distraction.

When I started to get deeper into the volunteer work with Alexandria House or Junior Blind Olympics, it's when I saw the real value of what Craig started. The direct impact of helping others and seeing how we can affect people's lives with the small things we do can go a long way. I can only imagine the other works of the shoe box parties that we do and what they recipients feel when they receive our gifts.
