Review for Badger Run Wildlife Rehab, Klamath Falls, OR, USA
My first experience with Badger Run Wildlife Rehab came shortly after moving back to the Klamath Basin from the San Francisco area. I bid on a silent auction on social media and won the chance to take part in the release of a golden eagle. For me, it was an experience of a lifetime, and for the amazing folks at Badger Run, business as usual. These dedicated people and network of volunteers work tirelessly to not only nurse their patients back to health, but to educate the public about wildlife in the area. Their animal ambassadors visit local schools, community events and neighborhoods such as mine and raise public awareness about how human carelessness or ill advised attempts to help animals or birds thought to be abandoned, can cause harm. Children and adults alike, learn facts about the ambassadors that explain behaviors, abilities, and why they are built the way they are. The more you know, the more you appreciate how amazing these creatures are and realize that we have a shared responsibility to them. Badger Run uses social media to advocate for changes that humans can make (ie: not using lead ammunition or sinkers) to make our environment less toxic to the animals and birds that make our area so special. This very hard-working group of people richly deserve any support the public can give, and our sincere gratitude.
