Review for International Bipolar Foundation, San Diego, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

International Bipolar Foundation (IBPF) fills a gap and provides a much needed service to the community, as a source of education and resources on Bipolar Disorder. There are resources for finding therapists, for knowing more about the disorder, about moving through the world with Bipolar. There are resources on its site for parents of Bipolar children, and for people whose friends are Bipolar, offering resources specifically for their roles.

International Bipolar Foundation has built several online communities, on Facebook, X, formerly known as Twitter, Instagram, and on its main website. I volunteer there. I just started, and the people are so lovely, and so dedicated. It is the most joyful place.

I know that what we do makes a difference, helps people in times of crisis, and in times when they feel lost. We provide a resource, a voice on the other end of the phone, or on a screen at any time of day or night, when finding someone there is most needed.

I haven’t been much help yet, as I just started. But, I hope that my small volunteer contributions will help the people who do the real work. People with Bipolar, all people, deserve to live with happiness, freedom, and move with ease through the world. Yet it’s a disease that takes that from them. International Bipolar Foundation works with a community of parents, friends, and Bipolar people to bring some of that back.

Review for Sale Ranch Animal Sanctuary, Temecula, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Sale Ranch does so many wonderful rescues of farm animals, young beings that have been injured, have birth defects, or have been abandoned in the way of the industry. They have a clean, well-ordered ranch with gardens for fresh greens and vegetables for the animals, well-run barns and fresh feed, enclosures that are well-swept and maintained with shade sails for shelter. They've planted trees for shade. They've planned ahead for fire evacuation and needed equipment. They need all the help you can give to continue they're wonderful efforts. They take volunteers and need them, if you want to work with animals, as well as donations. An excellent charitable organization.

Review for Sale Ranch Animal Sanctuary, Temecula, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Jen spoke to our group, which raises money for San Diego charitable organizations. I was struck by the amount of work and commitment of this team to rescuing animals, especially babies, from food farms and dairies. They have a tremendous education and outreach program.

Their motivation, in part, stems from the belief that animals are beings like ourselves, rather than things. They hope to help us regain our sense of knowing other animals as beings in their own right, thus reclaiming our sense of our own humanity.

It is an outstanding organization with a track record over time, with a network in the animal food farming community, and volunteers who help place the animals.
