My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Kellermann Foundation, Richardson, TX, USA
I have served on the Kellermann Foundation Board for almost 6 years now. I have traveled to Uganda twice to visit the Hospital, Nursing School, and the Batwa Pygmy villages that we support there. I have served on many non-profit, charity organization boards over the past 20+ years, and their accomplishments achieved pale in comparison to what has been accomplished in the programs we sponsor in the remote region of Southwest Uganda. A 125+ bed first-class hospital managed and run by the local people from the region, a nursing school with over 200 students that has now graduated two classes of students all of which passed their certification exam on the first try. And 14 thriving villages of Batwa Pygmies with housing, schools, community gathering facilities, good water facilities, latrine facilities, community gardens, with all continuously improving rapidly. All of this from virtually nothing just a little over 20 years ago.
But we do not ever forget that everything that has been accomplished in Uganda is the work of God. Our board is very prayerful and mindful of the hand of God in all that is done in Uganda where we work. To God be all the glory, honor, and praise for the accomplishments there. We are merely the instruments through which He works - and it feels really good to be those instruments. PTL!
