I am Julie, a volunteer with Boykin Spaniel Rescue! Over the past few years I have been fortunate enough to support BSR by doing several roles, including some of the following: home visits with potential adopters, short-term fosters (usually associated with transport), transport, and assist with some of the organizations business/administrative functions.

Being a volunteer for BSR means so much to me. I love being able to assist in helping the rescued Boykins find their furever homes. There are so many roles and functions and it is important to me to find small and large ways to help out.

BSR as an organization is extremely well run and as a volunteer they make it easy for me to assist and make me feel like my efforts count. I am really proud to be a part of BSR and believe so strongly in our mission to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of at-risk, purebred, Boykin Spaniels. BSR is a wonderful organization doing much needed and very high quality work to rescue, care for and rehome Boykin Spaniels.

The organization managers and volunteers work smart and tirelessly to do what ever it takes when a Boykin needs help.

My experience with BSR has been wonderful. BSR has a good system or method to establish dog need and determine the right fit so that the forever home is found. BSR has several programs that range from rescue, behavior modification training, health care, rehoming to permanent foster care for the seriously ill.

Passion, caring and love for Boykin Spaniels matched with a solid organization run by dedicated leadership and volunteers means it is all about doing what is best for the dogs.
