Review for Labrador Rescuers, San Diego, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

We had been planning on getting a pup for quite some time so when that time came we had already done our homework and were very impressed with Labrador Rescuers. We had been looking at available dogs online for months and had settled on an older dog. We did not mind the grey snouts, or any medical needs, just a loving dog that deserved to be pampered for the rest of their life. We were hoping for a smaller lab or mixed pup that would be easy to walk and take along as we planned on him/her joining us pretty much everywhere. "Our plan" was to meet 3-4 dogs and then sleep on it for a week before we made the big decision. Of course life has a way of throwing you a curve ball so you can imagine how surprised we were to have an instant connection with the 1st dog we met. Sticking to the plan we met the next dog, also an amazing pup, but we just couldn't stop thinking about the 1st. The next day we woke up and realized he was the one, no further meets required. And with a name like Atlas you can image he was no small Labrador, 104 lb bundle of love.
From our very 1st contact with Labrador Rescuers we could tell that they really cared about finding good homes for these dogs. And when Kim came out for a home inspection she was also caring and very knowledgeable. She answered all are questions about the adoption process and put us at ease. Arrangement with the fosters was simple and easy. Both of the fosters were very accommodating and more importantly had the dogs best interest at heart. They too wanted the best for these dogs and we could tell that however long it takes they would love these pups till the right adopters came along. That was very comforting to us. I wanted to thank all of those involved at Labrador Rescuers for making the adoption process a very enjoyable process for both the pups and the adopters. In addition I wanted to thank them for the medical attention these dogs receive before adoption, again showing their commitment to these life changing bundles of fur. (yes they shed) I would not hesitate
to recommend Labrador Rescuers to family or friend looking to save a pup.
