I had the pleasure of visiting the mission in Ethiopia, led by Father Angel.
We build the first classroom, spent time with the tribes, and got to learn more about the fantastic job Angel has done. I suggest you go visit and volunteer!
I only went once, but so impressed I donate a bit every year.

I have been volunteering every year with TFK for the past 11 years!!!! It is the highlight of my year to be able to travel to a remote location and try to improve the kids' lives.
If you enjoy travel and adventure, you should certainly consider doing it with a purpose.
I highly recommend it!
