My family came into contact with Metta Rescue Family after we said goodbye to our beloved boxer Bella. We were looking to add a new member to our quiet household, and weren't quite sure where to start. We contacted various other rescues, but felt that Metta was the right one. Their screening process was easy, and we could tell it is to ensure the animal that they are placing goes to the right home. They gave us tools, and support during the adoption process of our new furbaby Zeus. We have emailed with numerous questions since the adoption was finalized and they continue to impress us with their response, and insight to whatever the question is with Zeus.
We have seen friends adopt/rescue a dog from other groups, and the profile is minimal, background or information on the animal is vague. Metta sets the bar, my opinion, as we didn't feel any point that Zeus was a secret problem animal that other groups try to disguise as something else. They were very up front on his personality, quirks, and concern spots so we knew exactly what we were getting into before we brought Zeus into our home.
Zeus is a quirky 1.5 year old mix breed, and he is quite dapper, sweet - he can be a bit energetic in the morning, but he is fast becoming a cuddle bug.
We can not say enough wonderful things about Metta - We just wish other rescues were as amazing as Metta!
