Review for Honor Society Foundation, Las Vegas, NV, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As Honor Society Chapter Founder of Alpha Epsilon Chapter at UTSA, I was extremely elevated as a student, leader and individual in the community. Honor Society provided great resources and support during my term as founding president. I was really impressed after reading about the online preeminent organization, and then actually being invited on special terms to attend the Washington DC membership trip. The ceremony was full of professionals from around the country, speaking on leadership and inspiration. It also wouldn’t be an Honor Society trip without the fun activities, like the museum, nice restaurants and theme park day. Serving a full term as founder allowed me to practice what I have learned in school. Being a Communications major, I was always researching and giving speeches or presentations. I learned more about myself in that year and a half than at any of my previous jobs. Honor Society connected me with members that I am still friends with today. Founding a chapter gives you real on hands experience as a coordinator. I held interviews, planned events, attended leadership seminars for myself and became a problem solver. It was very rewarding to express an idea to a group of people with different backgrounds and interests, then see the events we put together run successfully. I’ve made improvements as a leader regarding teamwork. I took feedback and criticism from my members and applied it to my system. Thinking back to the 3rd meeting I held, my room was packed and from there on out, it was always a full house. People made me happy and it felt good being able to give these useful tools and moments back to the members. I hope I made their membership worthwhile, as we ended the year with professional photos and a chapter banquet for graduating seniors.
