Review for Everybody Wins Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA, USA
As a reading volunteer, I read to "my" 4th grade student, Chris, each week of the school year during my lunch break. I have been reading to Chris for 2 years now. When I first had Chris read back to me, he would become a little apprehensive. To make reading enjoyable instead of a chore, I would get into character and alternate with Chris on the dialogue. On several occassions we would re-read sections because he thought they were so funny. I wish we could do more than once a week, but it still is enjoyable to see the development of a young person and have them learn to read for pleasure.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
that I participate as a volunteer reader. I am a Corporate Audit Manager and take my lunch break to visit my student for a reading session. I believe it is important for a young person to have as many positive role models as they can in their lives.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
being a positive role model and helping in a child's development.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
great volunteers who care alot for the children.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
be able to reach more children.
