My children’s father passed suddenly on a Monday 03/18/19 with services scheduled for that same Thursday and Friday, leaving us with 2 days and no money to get all 5 of his kids (he also had 3 from his first marriage) and myself to Texas from Virginia, North Carolina and Oregon. This organization not only helped us be able to to get us all there but also made a time that was painful a little more bearable. Had they not stepped in, we all would have missed the funeral. I am so grateful for Operation Second Chance. A friend got this in motion and the lady I worked with for flights worked really late into the evening to make sure all flights were booked and that we had the information we needed. There will never be enough words to express our gratitude for helping us be there to lay him to rest. When the call came through that they were going to be covering all of our flights, I dropped to knees and cried. This organization is amazing and deserves all the recognition in the world for what they do for military families! Thank you OSC!!!
