Review for Mercys Village International, Redondo Beach, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I had the privilege of traveling to Gulu in Northern Uganda in July of 2010 with a non profit organization called "Mercy's Village.' It was the best short term mission trip that I have been a part of. The people of Gulu are amazing and hope is being restored to the northern region of Uganda once again. Mercy's Village is part of this redemptive time in Uganda. The school is currently under construction at this time and will be ready for the first phase of students in February of 2011. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Gulu and for the children who will be a part of Mercy's Village.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

our church community. The Rock Covenant Church in Manhattan Beach, California is committed to serving along side Mercy's Village. We are excited about our partnership with this organization.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

encourage more people to get involved.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the quality of relationships that we have been able to build in Uganda. This organization is all about people. I love it!!!!!!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

positive and full of passion. The leaders of this organization clearly have a heart for those who have been pushed out into the margins of our world and to give them a voice again.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

bring education and hope to thousands of children in Uganda.

Ways to make it better...

more people could see what God is doing in Uganda.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

ongoing financial support.

One thing I'd also say is that...

once you see and experience the people of Uganda you will never be the same. They are beautiful, fun, and caring people. I love this country.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010
