Review for Chuckies Place, Peyton, CO, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I discovered Chuckie's Place while researching the facility for an Army Strong Bonds Retreat Site. To my surprise, I discovered this therapuetic program for disabled children and Wounded Warriors with a very gifted Christian attendant heading both of them. The facility grounds are absolutely lovely as is the scenery and one could only benefit from a visit to CHuckie's Place in the fresh air and loving atmosphere. All feel at home immediately!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

They are known for their hospitality and their cooking...it sure smelled good while we toured. Did I mention the indoor pool &jacuzzi;?

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Increase cabin space to accomodate a few more families. Right now acocmodates 24 families/couples or up to 79 singles.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The hospitality and friendliness of the staff. They talk to every person that enters as if they are family members...always a warm welcome.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Awesome, totally awesome. They were human also and very much into this ministry. A very strong desire to see it grow and blossom.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

I am positive that they would offer services by scholarship to all the kids that could not afford to otherwise come and perhaps add on to the staff to be able to handle assisting many more.

Ways to make it better...

I could have eaten one of the brownies I smelled cooking in the kitchen-but its a good thing i did not because i am diabetic!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

More staffing needed as more clients come in.

One thing I'd also say is that...

God provides. have faith and all that you need will be provided for you in the way of staffing and in the way of children that need your services. And wounded soldiers too! God knows there are too many of them.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010
