I never expected the impact that volunteering at IMAlive would have on my every day life. But it has. Every day. I'm more grateful, more content, I communicate more open. And I get to help people in need, people in crisis. I get to be there for those who feel lonely, abandoned, worthless. I get to be the one who listens to their struggles, their fears, their traumas but also their dreams for a better life. I meet fighters, every week, who battle their inner demons. Who battle thoughts of suicide. And I'm so proud. Of them for seeking help. And of us, for being able to provide it. Volunteering at IMAlive was the best decision I ever made.
