I attended a cultural exchange/volunteer vacation that was hosted by this organization in coordination with the Ohio Master Gardener Volunteers. I could not have been more impressed with the foundation's personnel and with the relationships they have with members of the indigenous communities in Imbabura province. The tour was extremely well organized and run. But it was the intimate knowledge, the care, and the delight in the communities and people demonstrated by our Tandana guides that impressed. It seemed obvious that the connections between the foundation and the communities is founded on many years of collaboration and respect. It did feel like visiting extended family where we were welcomed as guests, not tourists or do-gooders. Well Done .
