Yellow Ribbon Fund has been here for my family and I since day one!!! They supported myself (as a caregiver) and my family while my husband recovered from his injuries in Walter Reed. After he retired we moved back home to San Diego and I then became part of the So. Cal chapter. This group of caregivers helps to keep me refreshed and be able to keep carrying on. We lead a hard life and we are all there for each other and we understand what each other is going through.
We do frequent get togethers, we relax, we complain, we also laugh and cry. I so look forward to our Yellow Ribbon Fund events every month to catch up with my new found friends and to just HAVE FUN!!! It’s such a nice feeling to not have to worry about anyone but yourself (for a few hours) and let your hair down.
