I've been volunteering with Genesis Joy House for the last six months, and it is a wonderful organization. Margaret Flowers and the other leaders selflessly give of themselves to realize a powerful vision. Genesis empowers women veterans into self-sufficiency through housing, counseling, education, and a variety of support services. Through this work, Genesis Joy House is a shining example of community-focused service. I am honored to be a part of their work, and I would encourage anyone with the time and resources to help to do so. You'll find yourself transformed by these committed and caring people as you work to bring opportunity to service members who have given so much and been given so little.
