Review for FIRST, Manchester, NH, USA
FIRST Robotics is an amazing organization that empowers students and encourages them to be the next generation of innovators. It teaches them to have realistic role models and expectations of their futures. It encourages them to excel at all they do and fosters a love of learning. Not only all that, but it is fun, too! I have been involved with this organization for 7 years and have watched the students learn and grow. My own children have become better people as a result of their involvemnet.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Students are finding that Science and Technology is fun. The organization helps to "demystify" what it means to be involved in the sciences and helps reinforce important values in our society.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Try to find ways to make it less expensive for teams to participate.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Seeing students develop a love for learning and helping them grow to their fullest potential.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
People involved with FIRST are committed, engaged, and truly love what they do.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
literally change the world! By encouraging more young people to be engineers and scientists instead of sports stars or singing sensations, we may see a cure for cancer or other important innovations in our lifetimes!
Ways to make it better...
More students were involved.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the paradigm shift needed in our society. People need to celebrate innovation and creativity- not athleticism or acting chops.
One thing I'd also say is that...
This organization can help bring change to a world that needs it. Volunteer today- you don't need to be a scientist to help these students!
