PWNA's Healthy Living program helps us to encourage families to enroll into Growing In Beauty Home Visitation Program. It also increases the rate of participation of families in the biweekly home visitation appointments and Group Connection Meeting each month. Families learn about child interaction activities that can help improve their parental involvement and their children's development. Families learn together in a secure environment at home among other extended family member such as grandparents, great grandparents, and so on. When they come to do a group connection they interact with other Parents/Children and share their experiences. So when families receive these healthy living products, parents make time to interact with their children instead of always going to work. At each of the monthly meeting we have different resources come out to share what they have to offer. Some resources include the local clinics, hospitals, department of economic security office, and etc.
