VetTix is fantastic. In the 2 years since I have signed up, I have been able to attend a large number of first rate concerts and sporting events. The face value of all of these tickets would have ammounted to way, way more than I could have otherwise afforded. I don't think I could have attended even half of the events that VetTix and ticket donors made possible. Being a Vet with Service Connected Disability, as well as an additional serious chronic illness, the value of getting out into the community more often and enjoying events is something that cannot be overestimated. The one sort of "speed bump" to it all is that when your guest (family member or friend) cancels, especially last minute, you can find yourself under a lot of pressure to make sure their ticket gets used. The effort I have had to put forth, on a couple of occasions, went beyond what I would consider reasonable. Obviously, it is very important that donated tickets get used, but I would like to see an adjustment to the rules to avoid excessive pressure on Vets to cover tickets that were claimed (delivery fee paid) in good faith. Otherwise, you cannot beat VetTix! When you go to an event, you really do feel appreciated and "thanked" as a Vet. All vets should sign up! They also now have a similar service for First Responders!
