I've been volunteering for Operation Quiet Comfort for about 11 years now. I tend to focus on making cards for our wounded heros, running block signings, and crocheting lapghans. What strikes me most about OQC is how dedicated the volunteers are. This is not a big organization. There are no chapters or meetings or offices. OQC is a diverse group of patriotic Americans from all across the country who work out of their dining rooms, basements, and garages to bring love and support to our wounded military personnel and the people who take care of them.
