Review for Stray Animal Adoption Program Inc, Newport, KY, USA
This rescue claims to care about the pets after adoption. They so lovingly say "Once a SAAP animal, always a SAAP animal" to exude the illusion that the people in charge actually care about the pets. They only take pets back so they can make more money off of them once they are returned and adopted out again (sometimes to several homes) and charge the same adoption fee to the next family that they did not refund to the first adopter. They also do this to add those subsequent adoptions to the total number of pets adopted out each year. Yes, the total number they share for yearly adoptions represents the number of ADOPTIONS not the number of INDIVIDUAL PETS WHO FOUND HOMES. For example, the same cat adopted out to 3 different homes counts as 3 cats adopted out in the total even though it's the same cat. Once the pet is adopted, they no longer care about it's well-being. It's all about the numbers and the adoption fees. The volunteers at events and the people who foster are the people who REALLY care about the pets, but unfortunately most of the people in charge do not.
