JLF Colorado has established an annual Literature Festival that brings novelists, biographers, scientists, historians, film makers, poets, and other writers from America, Canada, the UK, South Asia, and Africa to Boulder, Colorado, for three days listening to and talking about one another's stories. Everyone comes away with a deeper, richer, and more complete feeling for the humanity we all share. In fractured, challenging times, such an uplifting revelation and reminder of what binds us to life and to one another brings joy to the heart, stimulates the intelligence, and inspires the imagination.

HCF does wonderful, profound, and transformative work. The Fund makes an enormous difference in the lives of many children from diverse backgrounds. Donations are spent wisely, efficiently, and productively. I say this on the basis of more than twenty-five years of experience in that part of the world generally and in close relationship with this group in particular. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
