For almost 60 years Defending Rights and Dissent (DRAD) has been a tireless champion of free speech. Nimble and feisty, DRAD is unwavering in its principles and remarkably effective at fighting against government and corporate efforts to silence dissent and political expression. It continues to be a leader in helping shape the national conversation on civil liberties and supporting grassroots movements, and I am proud to serve on its board.
