A few years so, we were in a dilemma of where our birds would live out the rest of their lives. After doing much research and not feeling comfortable with any sanctuaries I looked into, I came upon a large article in a magazine about Project Perry. After contacting Matt, I flew from Dallas to Virginia to visit Matt and the sanctuary. I was immediately awestruck in the sanctuary and Matt’s dedication to assuring the well-being of each bird residing there. Shortly after, we brought our African grey and Macaw there and are so at peace that they will always be well taken care of. Matt sends us pictures of them and updates. There is not another sanctuary like this dedicated to birds. Matt is one-of-a-kind.
