Review for Cambodian Children's Fund, Santa Monica, CA, USA
Cambodian's Children's Fund (CCF) is a wonderful charity organization that my wife and I discovered! We got involved first as a donor.......and eventually as a sponsor of a 10yo girl (named Rangsey). Sponsoring a child in another country was something we had never thought of doing before. But with CCF, it all came naturally.
I was sponsored to America in 1980, and went back to visit Cambodia in 2005 for the very first time. I saw first-hand the rampant poverty there, and the lack of opportunities and assistance for the impoverished families and children in many situations. I felt the situation in life was hopeless for many children growing up there.
A few years later, we discovered Scott Neeson's story: about how he gave up his Hollywood executive life to make a difference in the extremely-desperate garbage community of Steung Meanchey. He started CCF to give hope to Cambodia's most impoverished children!
Scott's sacrifice of his Hollywood executive life to help Cambodia's poorest of the poor inspired my wife and I to get involved with CCF, to help him and help the children in Cambodia. We are proud to be involved with CCF and especially in our sponsoring relationship with Rangsey.
Thank you Scott Neeson and Cambodian Children's Fund for giving hope to Cambodia's children, and thank you Andrea (CCF staff in Santa Monica) for all her work coordinating everything!
