Review for Free2Luv, Seattle, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Hey Everyone,

I had the great honor of organizing and working with this incredible organization. The event I attended was a college event for National coming out day.

The response from Free2Luv was awesome 3 lovely people accompanied me on this journey for the day. The level of professionalism was next to none. Welcoming people with cheerful greetings and genuine interest in peoples lives. I sat in awe as people felt the need to open up to us, it was definitely a safe place to be who you are.

I had a chance to speak to someone who had struggled with being singled out in life because he was autistic, it crushed me to think about what he went through, When I first spoke to him, it felt like he had a very timid nature and was nervous to be in the area with a large number of people. I have a cousin that is autistic, so I understood how to handle the situation, I guided him to an area that was not as busy and just sat speaking to him. The change in atmosphere around him was almost instant. we had a great conversation and we felt a sense of accomplishment, I guided him towards the area where we had other Free2Luv representatives and introduced my new friend, the representatives.

Then proceeded to invite my new friend into out arts and crafts room where we had Free2luv's awesome co-founder Tonya speak to him for what seemed like an hour or more. When I peeked in the room to see how he was doing I found him drawing on one of the hearts we brought along for our Free2BeMe workshop and looked at the message he wanted to leave for the world. It rocked my world because of how emotional a piece of art could be. The simple break down of the picture was pain comes and goes, we are stronger than we think we are, and there are good people in the world that make you feel welcome. A message I think we all need to hear from time to time and definitely remember!

This was a long read I apologize, but it was a very fulfilling event for me and it changed the way I saw the world. The representatives from Free2Luv are so awesome and they are so welcoming. I am honestly honored to be part of an organization this dedicated and passionate.

Thank you for being awesome!! I can't wait for the Next event!!
