Review for Wounded Warrior Project, Jacksonville, FL, USA
When I first heard of the Wounded Warrior Project back in 2009 when I retired from the military, I was skeptical and said to myself "Who gives out free things to others without wanting anything back in return?" and I totally ignored the invite to join this organization because I thought it's too good to be true. However, a fellow soldier that I served in the military posted some pics about his Odessey experienced and thank WWP for making it possible. I remembered the name back from 2009 and asked him about the organization. After still being a little skeptical (because I don't like sharing my private info or relatively trust people easily), I decided to become an alumni with WWP and the rest was history. Ever since my retirement, I isolated myself from everything and everyone and only focused on my family and educational journey. Ever since joining WWP this July and began going to their activities that WWP makes possible because of the generous donors that support their cause, I've had the opportunity to go out with my family and alone to many adventurous opportunities that they offer to veterans like myself. I've met new veterans and have begun to remove brick by brick the isolation wall I created for myself over a decade ago.
