Today, I volunteered at the thanksgiving grocery giveaway on the behalf of Joshua’s heart organization. Emily, a junior board member organized the event that helped feed 260 families in north Miami. It was an excellently planned and executed event that brought youth and parent volunteers together with the local less fortunate community in the true sense of thanksgiving. It was an extremely humbling and gratifying experience. I am thankful for all the hard work it took to organize such an event and definitely plan on joining more events put forth by this organization .
